How did you hear about Mindjet?
In 2007 whilst sitting in an Account Planning meeting. One of the Sector Leaders had Mindjet open and was using it to enter details regarding the meeting. When asked further, he showed me the other maps he had for a multitude of purposes and I was hooked.
What do you primarily use it for?
Primarily for Account Planning and Territory Management. I also use it for Sales Campaign Management and Career Planning.
What is your favorite feature and why?
I love the graphical interaction you can have with your information. Having this, combined with the added benefit that this brings of having access to all information I need through this graphical interface, allows me to work smarter and more efficiently.
Is there anything the tool helps with that was unexpected?
The biggest surprise to me was more in the number of people who use Mindjet. Once I started showing my maps to people to convey my ideas and intentions, there were a large number of ‘oh, I use Mindjet’ moments.
Tell us about your map.
This is the template I use for Account Planning. It allows me to have all the areas I need to cover in one place without roaming multiple spreadsheets or Word documents, show relationships where necessary and keep on top of the projects.

This map was used to both enable me to present my strategy of play for a new job I was interviewing for. When I was successful in gaining the position it was then used as a management tool to ensure I fulfilled all the task I set out to do.
