I’m a pretty new user of MindManager and I’m thoroughly enjoying the process of learning all the ways I can use it to be more productive and organized. So, when I heard about the latest update, I couldn’t wait to check out the new features.
I was delighted to see that this update includes the brand new Learning Center with detailed step-by-step tutorials that walk you through how to use MindManager in a variety of ways—right inside the app. Naturally, new users like me will find it helpful but I have no doubt seasoned users will learn something useful, too!

Get up and running faster with MindManager tutorials
I’m pretty tech savvy, so picking up new software comes easy to me, but walking through the tutorials helped me quickly see what’s possible.
Not only do the tutorials give you instruction on how to use MindManager as a tool, they provide some pointers on how to structure your approach to different functions.
For example, I got started by going through the brainstorming tutorial because I’m often in meetings where we need to throw out ideas for consideration. There were five quick lessons, as shown in the screenshot below:
Now, usually I do most of this on a big whiteboard and it involves a lot of erasing, rewriting, and moving things around manually. It works, but it’s not the most efficient way to capture and work with ideas. And I’m always snapping quick picture to make sure I don’t forget anything.
Contrast that with using MindManager to run a brainstorming session based on the tutorial: In less than 10 minutes, I got a thorough overview. The lessons demonstrated a comprehensive way to brainstorm high-level ideas all the way down to evaluating and expanding on them. And you can easily save everything to work with it after the session is over.
The best part of the tutorial? I learned things that generated all sorts of great ideas for how I can make my work easier, more effective, and more efficient.
I could go on and on about how cool and useful brainstorming is in MindManager, but I’ll just say it beats every whiteboard session I’ve ever run. And that’s based on 10 minutes with a tutorial.
There are eight different tutorials, starting with an introduction to the software. Then you can dive into flowcharting, researching, project management, and more.
I’ll be working my way through each of them over the next couple days so I can strengthen my knowledge and understanding of MindManager and all the ways it can help me. You should check them out, too!
